Martin Knaus, MS, L.Ac., Dipl.OM, QME
Martin received his Bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and his Master's  Degree from Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, CA. He is a California Acupuncture Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist (L.Ac). He is also a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine from the National Acupuncture Board (Dipl.OM). 
Martin is a Qualified Medical Evaluator(QME) for the California State Division of Workers' Compensation where he works with patients to examine and evaluate their Workers' Compensation Case and provides medical reports and expert medical opinions and recommendations for patients with work injuries.  
Martin completed an extensive Sports Medicine internship program where he worked along-side both eastern and western medical doctors at Five Branches University. Martin uses Acupuncture Therapy along with Chinese Herbal Medicine and physiotherapy/acupressure techniques. Martin's specialty is Orthopedic Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He specializes in treating musculoskeletal ailments and injuries, either due to sports or from work. He can help people with either acute or chronic ailments. 
He treats many other health issues including, but not limited to: headaches, stress, digestive issues, asthma, neurological disorders, immune system, allergies. He uses electro-acupuncture, trigger point therapy, acupressure and massage. Martin often prescribes Chinese herbal medicine to his patients, depending on the case.
